Here’s what drew me to the Intuitive Eating approach:Īccording to the official website, Intuitive Eating is a self-care eating framework, which integrates instinct, emotion, and rational thought and was created by two dietitians, Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch in 1995. I was looking for a process to help people move away from dieting and recover from eating disorders. I went through the training to become a certified Intuitive Eating counselor from 2016-2019. This framework, which some call the “anti-diet” has been around for 25 years. The Intuitive Eating approach has become popular in the past couple of years.
